Sandstone formed in layers called bedding, signs of the past environment. It was the stone of choice when constructing such famous buildings like the gateways to the Taj Mahal in India. Alexander Chavez's endearing Lizard has been sculpted from a stunning sandstone containing evidence of ancient time. Cross-hatching and cheerful turquoise inlays adorn this roughly 3 1/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 3/4" tall turquoise-eyed reptile that feel neat to touch.
