Salvador Romero says mixed animal pairs like this Bear and bushytail (Wolf, Coyote or Fox) honor the "rawness" we are all born with. When we first come into this world we are "as one" without boundaries or personas. As we get older and socialized, we get "cooked" and begin to see ourselves as separate from others. In Indigneous Pueblo worldview, it's our responsibility to get back to the raw state which is closer to the Creator and true happiness.
