Pansy Natachu's father was carver Leonard Halate (d) who started producing fetishes in the 1940's. Pansy and her siblings Reva Halate, Marvelita Phillips and Herbert Halate, continue in the tradition. At about 1 1/2" long, 3/8" wide and 5/8" tall, Pansy's turquoise bushytail (Wolf, Coyote or Fox) is inlaid with a gorgeous and continuous jet heartline, as well as expressive eyes from jet. The heartline references the breath of a fetish and can often be seen with an arrow extending from the mouth of the creature to the heart.
