Corn-maiden sisters demonstrate genuine love for each another as they grow in abundance and happiness. Incised corn kernel bodies are accented with turquoise, lapis lazuli, jet, pen shell and red coral inlays. Their beautifully incised fringed shawls are also inlaid with these similar materials. Facial features are etched and filled with jet paste. Mouths are from pipestone. Star and Dragonflies are filled with jet or pipestone paste. Sculpted from one antler specimen, dimensions of this exquisite carving by Troy Sice are about 2 1/4" long, 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" tall.
