Frog Holding Rain
Rickson Kallestewa's alabaster Frog holds a raincloud between its front feet. Water is life and frogs are symbols of life giving rain. Rickson has made a paste of crushed jet to darken this amphibian's eyes, mouth, nostrils, claws (yes, in New Mexico our frogs have claws with which to dig into the earth). This paste also darkens the spots on the frogs back. This sweet friend is about 1 5/8" long, 1 1/4" wide, and 1" tall.
