Pollinator Hornet
A pollinator hornet is a relative of the yellow-jacket wasp. Hornets and wasps service gardens and crops by consuming destructive pests. We love Justin Red Elk's hornets. He started carving when he was 8 years old and hasn't stopped since. His latest offering is a wonderful hornet composed from carved turquoise, Royston turquoise and jet. Wings are elegantly etched, a stinger is nice and pointy, plus motion-detecting eyes are from turquoise inlays. About 2 1/2" long, 2" wide and 7/8" tall.
