Life-giving water is represented in this approximately 5 1/2" tall, 8 1/2" wide and 9" deep pottery bowl. Perfectly imperfect, it is all hand-coiled with natural clay and hand-painted with mineral paints by renowned Zuni potter Carlos Laate with the help of his late jeweler wife Roxanne Seoutewa. Water creatures abound, such as squirmy tadpoles that swim freely with Frog companions. Inside this wonderful bowl, Kolowisi who represents the Guardian of the waterways, moves to and fro.
