Ricky Laahty's reptiles are simply fabulous! Using materials indigenous to the Zuni Pueblo area, Ricky's extraordinary tortoise (or Turtle) is composed of luscious Zuni hematite, inlaid Zuni azurite adorns the carapace. This one-of-a-kind tortoise's long neck reaches around the side, its eyes are of pen shell and azurite. Hidden underneath this slow but steady reptile is an over-confident hare (or Rabbit) sure it will win the race. This foolish hare also has eyes of pen shell and azurite.  About 2 3/8" long, 2" wide and 1" tall.
