Jovanna Poblano's latest offering is this exceptional bird carved from a richly hued Picasso marble. The bird carries a sublime offering bundle of black coral flanked by pieces of quartz, turquoise, and red coral stung on a single strand of shell beads. This marvelous feathered friend rests upon a pietersite base exhibiting gorgeous blue and gold colors. The material pietersite was discovered in 1962 by Sid Pietersite when he was exploring farmland in Namibia Africa. With lively eyes of turquoise and crushed turquoise at the base, it measures about 3 1/2" long, 2 1/4" tall, and 1" wide. The base measures 1 5/8" long by 1 5/8" wide.
