Mosaic Hollow Form Earrings
Using channel inlay and hollow form techniques Franklin Carrillo hand build these sculptural beauties. The inlaid lapis, coral, malachite, sugilite, spiny oyster shell, turquoise, and mother of pearl shell window panes create a contemporary design. The hollow form building technique gives them mass without adding weight. About 1" long, 1/4" wide and the bottom, and 1/4" deep each earring weighs .2 oz, the same as 2 quarters.
