A wondrous Bear, carved from satin spar gypsum by Abby and Clayton Panteah. When viewed from the side the bright and energizing turquoise inlaid heartline is complimented by the thin fibrous bands that give this material its name. However, when viewed head on, the center of the bear is revealed to be clear, like a window to the opposite end. If you need a little support in pondering what seems to be a opaque situation, perhaps this little bear can offer some clarity. The silky smooth bear measures about 1 3/4" long, 3/4" wide by 1 1/8" tall. Satin spar is form by evaporation of gypsum rich water underground growing into these wondrous fiberoptic crystals.
