Sharktopus
Mother Earth is full of surprises as documented in a 2023 incident near New Zealand where a Māori octopus hitched a ride on a mako shark, an unusual sight. The shark and octopod pairing was named "sharktopus" by observers. Cody Chavez's fish rock serpentine shark and octopus (or perhaps cuttlefish) are sculpted from one fish rock serpentine specimen to a dimension of roughly 2 1/8" long, 1 1/8" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Eyes are from either jet or turquoise inlays.
