The passage of time, water and wind brought together sand-sized grains of rock fragments, minerals and organic material to form sandstone, which feels so good to touch. Darrell Westika's standing Bear with peaceful eyes of inlaid turquoise, holds an etched drum or perhaps pottery jar, all carved from a golden portion of textural sandstone. An offering necklace is strung with prized beads like precious pink coral, turquoise, red coral and heishe shell. Including the handsome sandstone base, measurements are approximately 9" tall, 4" wide and 7" deep.
