Zuni artist Nelson Yatsattie started carving at 15 years of age creating creatures from ducks to dinosaurs. He says his favorite part of the creative process is the Dremel work because he really gets into detail. His latest offering showcases this talent in a rich Picasso marble sea Turtle with intricate sgraffito etching on the carapace, flippers and turned head. A observant gaze is from turquoise inlays.
