Daphne and Leland Boone have been carving since their early teens. Leland's late grandmother Edna Leki taught him the art in keeping with the cultural practice of Zuni families sharing intergenerational knowledge. Daphne and Leland collaborate in many animal creations but these days their beloved kitty cats are especially popular. They effortlessly capture cute personalities that make every cat wonderfully unique. Their latest offering is a turquoise-eyed feline sculpted from alabaster that enjoys peaceful moments in its sanctuary bathed in sunshine. Two tiny silver bells are strung in the little offering necklace. About 4 1/4" tall, 1 1/2" wide and 3 1/8" deep.
