We had the pleasure to chat with Zuni artist Gabriel Sice on a recent visit to our Keshi gallery. When asked about his use of lovely Utah alabaster, he shared that he really enjoys pushing himself to work with different stones. It seems that this curiosity of different stones is what keeps him creative. As he said "I'm always learning something." His lively Utah alabaster Fox (Wolf or Coyote) has sky blue turquoise eyes and an offering bundle from branch red coral and turquoise beads, a carving representative of his fearless and creative spirit. About 2 1/2" long, 5/8" wide and 7/8" tall.
